Our Staff: Our staff includes decorated veterans from State Police Tactical Units, some of whom have close to twenty years experience in the tactical field. Not only have our representatives been on the front lines, but they are also instructors in their fields of expertise. We have instructed State, County and Local agencies throughout New England and have been involved the pre-planning process for countless facilities.
What is a pre-plan? It's an interactive multimedia map of your facility that allows your staff, Law Enforcement Officers, EMS and Fire Department Personnel to more effectively respond to any crisis situation at your location. The plan is created by careful analysis of your facility by men and women who are serving or have served in the Law Enforcement Tactical field. This unique program can be run on desktops or laptops and about 70 pre-plans can be stored on one CD. Once the plan is complete, you will be given a draft copy for final approval. When a final draft is created, you tell us which agencies you wish to have the plans issued to. The Final Option Team will instruct your approved agencies on how to run the pre-plans.
Why do you need a pre-plan?
1. Time! Analysis of school shootings highlight a common denominator. Time means lives in an "active shooter" situation. Often the goal of "active shooters" has been to hurt as many people as possible before the police arrive and confront them. If you are in a lock down or evacuation process it is going to be difficult for responding officers on scene to get accurate directions from hysterical students or staff to a certain room or location. This is time no one can afford to waste. Imagine you have a crisis in room 205. You may be familiar with your facility, but are the responding personnel? If you have your pre-plan at the dispatch offices of the State Police, Sheriff's Department, local Police and fire departments, then their dispatchers can direct their people directly to room 205 via their portable radios by looking at the pre-plan.
2. A pre-plan is a the perfect tool for your staff and responding personnel to use to generate response plans BEFORE you have a crisis situation. You can select lock down areas, locations officers can use to isolate sections of your building, evacuation routes and issues unique to your facility.
3. These pre-plans display high resolution pictures of vital areas such as entry doors and high risk areas such as cafeterias which can give responding personnel a tactical advantage.
4. Pre-plans are invaluable in: Fires, bomb threats, active shooters, hostage situations, medical emergencies or any other crisis where emergency personnel may have to respond to your facility.
5. Since we invite representatives from law Enforcement, Fire and EMS to take part in the pre-planning process it promotes cooperation between all of the involved agencies.

How do you get a pre-plan?
Contact Final Option Inc. by e-mail or telephone (207)763-4800 and we will provide a consultation and a price quote. If you choose to have us create a pre-plan of your facility we will send a team to your location to take the necessary pictures, video, measurements and vital information to generate the plan. We will invite the Chiefs of responding personnel to meet with us at your facility to seek their input and to aid in coordination between these agencies. Once the plan is complete Final Option will make five copies of the CD to distribute to your selected agencies. Additional copies of the plan can be purchased by you alone.
